Fitcomm Body Building team 2018 // Body building photoshoot //Fitmumz
I love going to the gym, I love training (most of the time) and I love being fit but do I have what it takes to train hard for 6 months, sacrificing many things to compete in a body building competition up on stage in front of lots of people in not many clothes? The answer is NO! But these guys did! They are are from Fitcomm and they all did amazing! Congratulations guys you are an inspiration to everyone that knows you.
MotoGP Phillip Island 2017
Recently I got to experience one of the most amazing weekends of my life, I think I may also have found my dream job! Sports photographer. A few weeks back my husband and I and a bunch of good mates travelled over to Phillip Island in Melbourne for the Australian round of the MotoGP. I had media accreditation which meant I'd be taking photos all weekend whilst the others unfortunately, (for them) only had GA passes :( The gate in the first pic is where their access stopped! So I made my way to the media centre where all the photographers, journalists, commentators and anyone to do with media from all the world got to hang out for a few days. I was in photography heaven. Over the course of the weekend I got to meet and work alongside some of the world's greatest sports/MotoGP photographers, including one of my faves: Gigi Soldano, who is the nicest guy and takes the most amazing photos. He introduced me to Valentino Rossi! And took the photo below! As if my mind wasn't already blown!
I had pit lane access on the Friday and Saturday so I got to take photos of all the MotoGP riders and their teams during all the practice sessions. Then for the rest of the weekend I borrowed a big fat lens and an upgraded version of my camera from the Nikon team, (who represent at every round of the MotoGP), and went out around the track to get some action shots. During the weekend it rained, shined, rained some more and blew a gale. I walked miles, I carried heaps of stuff, I learnt loads and connected with heaps of people, I absolutely LOVED it all!!!
Be sure to check out the latest online edition of Kiwi Rider where some of my pics have been published. There's a great write up on the weekend in there too.
